We are happy to share impressions from our first project „Design Your Enterprise: Get Inspired“ that was on the topic of social entreprise and happened 29.7.-2.8.2015 in Prague at ecocentre Toulcův Dvůr..

We brought together youthworkers and young people interested in the topic from the Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Italy, Ukraine, Germany, Turkey and Lithuania and during five days we were discussing, sharing, creating and getting inspired.

The purpose of the first part of the project Desing Your Enterprise was to exchange knowledge on how to create and promote your own social enterprise, to learn and practice the entrepreneurial skill set in order to find an inspiring activity that makes income and to develop skills at the level of promoting one´s own personality and work abilities.

As some of the participants were already quite experienced in the field, the project was a lot about sharing experiences and good practices from our countries. We learned about functionning of the Eco Farm Toulcuv dvur which is a social enterprise itself and runs several projects in the field (pottery, hostels, healthy cooking, employment of disabled people).

We also visited various social business projects, such as Pragulic, Prague city tours guided by homeless people who share they view of the city or Bezobalu (NoPackage), an institute promoting healthy ingredients sold without packaging.

The most important part happened during last days, when different teams created proposals of schedule of activities for the second part of the project called „Get Started“ that will happen in spring 2016 and will be even more practical and hands-on social business. We are looking forward!
